Washington Capitals winger Devante Smith-Pelly was sent to the penalty box the other night for holding.  This trip to the penalty box was a little different than any other one he’s taken this year.

A Minnesota Wild fan was sitting next to the penalty box and decided it would be a good idea to heckle Smith-Pelly through a gap in the glass.

What the heckler wasn’t counting on was Smith-Pelly’s aim with his water bottle.  He was able to use the glass to create a spray between the gap and keep the heckler from going at him with full force.

That’s how you handle a heckler.
