In the third period of the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 win over the Washington Capitals on Thursday night, forward T.J. Oshie went down with an injury. He was shoved from behind into the boards by Hurricanes forward Warren Foegele.
Oshie slammed into the boards awkwardly and stayed down holding his right arm. He was eventually able to get up and exit the game under his own power, but he did not return and is expected to miss significant time.

That’s a tough loss for the Caps. Not only is the series now tied, they will be without one of their best players for the foreseeable future.
