The Washington Capitals chipped in and got their former teammate, Taylor Chorney, a Stanley Cup championship ring.
Chorney was cut by the Caps prior to the team winning the Stanley Cup, but they all felt that he deserved a ring for his contribution during the season.
On Saturday they presented their friend and former teammate with his own championship ring.
“This is something everybody wanted to chip in here. It’s definitely something everybody here thinks you deserve.”

Who said NHL players were mindless robots without feelings? The Capitals certainly don’t fit that description.
