The Philadelphia Phillies went all in on Bryce Harper this off-season and handed him a ridiculous 13-year, $330 million contract. That has Philly fans very excited about things to come.
The excitement has made its way to the other professional teams in the city as well. On Wednesday night, during the Capitals and Flyers game, Philadelphia welcomed Bryce Harper to troll Washington.
It had the opposite affect on Caps announcer John Walton. He wants to know if the fans in Philly are going to be as welcoming to Harper when he’s hitting .230 on Memorial Day.
What a line. This guy knows how to shutdown trolls. It will be very interesting to see what happens if Harper struggles, as he did last season with the Nationals.
