The Panthers released the team’s final injury report for Week 3, officially ruling out quarterback Cam Newton for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
Newton did not participate in practice throughout the week because of a foot injury. Head coach Ron Rivera indicated that Kyle Allen will start at quarterback on Sunday.
Newton’s going to have to dust off the Superman cape if the Panthers hope to turn this season around. He’s going to need a healthy foot to do so.
