The Carolina Panthers announced on Friday afternoon that Cam Newton will not play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. It’s not all that surprising given the fact that he didn’t practice all week.
All indications are that backup quarterback Kyle Allen will get the start and be tasked with preventing an 0-3 start. Which explains why head coach Ron Rivera was so salty yesterday.
