Former Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will not sign with a team as a backup. He will only accept a starting quarterback job.
According to reports, Newton will continue to workout and wait until he can meet with teams in person so they can evaluate him.
The worst case scenario is he waits until a starting quarterback goes down with an injury.
