Cam Newton spoke to reporters on Wednesday afternoon ahead of their season opener. He was asked about the mid-foot strain he suffered during the preseason, but didn’t want to talk about that.
The Panthers quarterback wanted to talk about facing the Rams on Sunday instead. Newton is looking forward to the challenge and says he’s having so much fun that he “feels like a rookie again.”
