Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is without a job just a few years after taking home the league MVP award and leading Carolina to the Super Bowl. He has been replaced by Teddy Bridgewater who signed a three-year deal with the Panthers this week.
Carolina granted Newton permission to seek a trade. That has been easier said than done. According to reports, he’s having a hard time finding a trade partner.
That could be due to the fact that several teams have already addressed their quarterback needs or plan to do so in the draft. It could also be because teams know the Panthers will release him and they could sign him then.
