Ian Rapaport reported that an NFL investigation into Cam Newton’s “eye poke” injury, that he suffered against the Saints in the playoffs, did not violate the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Per the NFL and NFLPA, the #Panthers and Cam Newton did not commit a protocol violation. "Mr. Newton was properly evaluated for a concussion in the sideline medical tent and did not sustain a concussion."

Cam suffered the “eye poke” on huge hit to the head. He missed the rest of the series, but was back on the field for the start of the next series.
Here’s the play. You be the judge. Eye poke or possible concussion?
