Buccaneers tight end Jordan Leggett offered to give up his No. 87 to the newly acquired Rob Gronkowski, who has worn the number his entire career. But the jersey will cost the future Hall of Famer.
A similar situation occurred when Tom Brady signed with Tampa Bay. Receiver Chris Godwin already had the jersey number, but decided to hand it over free of charge to the living legend.
Leggett may very well do the same thing at some point. But for now, he’s asking for $1 million for the number.
