Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. became the first African-American NASCAR driver to finish as high as second place at the Daytona 500. After the race he was overcome by emotion.
Although Wallace would have been more excited to win the race, he couldn’t help but feel the power of the moment. Adding to the emotion was his family, who was there with him to share in the historic moment.
Bubba has a bright future ahead of him in NASCAR.
