This year’s Home Run Derby will take place at Nationals Park on July 16th and Nats star Bryce Harper will participate on one condition. If he makes the all-star team then he says he’ll ruin his swing at the Home Run Derby.

If we’re still looking at batting average (and the nerds aren’t), his .213 average would suggest he shouldn’t be an all-star.
Everyone knows it’s a popularity contest and he is still a very popular player. Add this to the fact that the nerds don’t think batting average is important and you have yourself an all-star in 2018.
