The Yankees were in Washington on Monday night to take on the Nationals and the big news centered around Bryce Harper’s beard. Or lack thereof, the Nats star shaved it off prior to the game.
That move and the fact that the Yankees have a facial hair rule sparked all kinds of conspiracies. Many believe Harper shaved the beard off to let New York know that he’s interested in taking his talents to the Bronx when he becomes a free agent.
So this all but confirms Bryce Harper will be playing center field for the Yankees next year, right? Right?? #PinstripePride pic.twitter.com/kj5pxISmer

Is that a possibility? Sure it is, but so is the fact that his Vegas Golden Knights lost the Stanley Cup Finals. And Harper is in the middle of a pretty bad slump, maybe he shaved it off hoping the new look would help him at the plate.
Who knows? I have to admit the timing of Harper the beard is interesting.
