The Bryce Harper sweepstakes are as hot as they’ve been all off-season. Talks with multiple teams have been ongoing for a few weeks now, but he remains unsigned.
Is it a lack of offers? Not exactly it could be that the numbers aren’t quite high enough for his majesty.
On Wednesday a rumor surfaced that claims Harper has turned down multiple $300 million offers in recent weeks.
Bryce Harper is believed to have turned down multiple offers over 300M in recent weeks. at least 5 teams are believed still in contact, tho Philly, SF and perhaps Wash appear to have more chance than SD (just gave 300M to Manny) and CWS (seemed more focused on MM)

Harper is certainly seeking more than Manny Machado’s $300 million deal and probably more than the $325 million deal Giancarlo Stanton signed with the Marlins a few years ago.
Large contracts over many years always payoff. Just ask the Rangers, Angels, Mariners, Marlins and Yankees about them. You can add the Padres to that list in about five years as well and whoever foolishly signs Harper.
