Via 9News:

According to multiple sources, Lock’s CAA reps are seeking a “quarterback premium,” which is common for QBs taken in the first and third rounds. Lock was taken in the second round. (Second-round QBs since 2014 did not receive a premium). The premium Lock is seeking would mean more money in terms of add-on workout bonus in years 3 and 4 of his deal or more full guarantees in Lock’s contract than Risner’s slotted amount.

Lock isn’t expected to see the field this year with Joe Flacco on the roster, but missing training camp isn’t going to help him be prepared should an opportunity arise.  It’s an interesting move on the second-round pick’s part.  We’ll see if it works out for him.
