Brodie Van Wagenen, without using the specific word, indicates the Mets will be sellers.
He says moving expiring contracts is more of a focus, and he expects Syndergaard and deGrom to remain Mets.

Of course they’re selling at the deadline, they’re the Mets. If Van Wagenen is at all interested in turning the Mets around, he’s going to likely have to pickup some assests by trading away deGrom or Syndergaard.
It’s really an easy decision to make. Syndergaard has probably done all he’s going to do for you. It’s time to get some young talent for a guy other teams really want to get their hands on.
