The Brewers held off the Dodgers on Friday night to take a 1-0 lead in the NLCS. The Brew Crew got the scoring started on a game tying solo home run from pitcher Brandon Woodruff in the bottom of the third inning.
The homer came off of Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw, who was right back to his normal subpar postseason self, giving up four earned runs in just three innings to take the loss.
Following the homer the Dodgers would give up four more runs in the third and fourth innings to put the score at 5-1. They managed to claw back and make it a game, but still ended up losing Game 1 by the score of 6-5.
