Knebel suffered a knee injury on the same leg in spring training. This injury appears to be a little more serious and the Brewers have already placed him on the DL as they wait for an MRI.
Brewers All-Star closer Corey Knebel threw a pitch and went down holding his left leg/knee. He had an issue with that knee in Spring Training. Being helped off the mound and cannot put any weight on that leg.

Add snapping your hamstring while throwing a pitch to the list of freak baseball injuries. That’s a tough break at the beginning of the season for the Brew Crew.
