Brett Favre spoke with TMZ Sports on Thursday about the controversy in Green Bay surrounding Aaron Rodgers and his former head coach Mike McCarthy.
Favre had a lot praise for his former understudy and warned any coach that attempts to coach Rodgers needs to “tread lightly.”
Via TMZ Sports:
“Any coach that will attempt to coach him has to tread lightly because you don’t want to take away what he does so well, which is a lot of good things, and handcuff him.”
Favre seems to take a shot at McCarthy too by saying the Packers, with the best player in the league, should have won more during his tenure.
Favre sticking up for Rodgers isn’t all that surprising, but if you have to warn his next coach to tread lightly, maybe some of the blame for the failure in Green Bay falls on his shoulders. Just a thought.
No matter what it’s always good to see Favre rocking his sleeveless shirts. I don’t want to live in a world where Favre’s gun show doesn’t exist.
