The umpires rules that Culberson never pulled the bat back, which he didn’t, and the pitch that ended his day was ruled a strike. Braves manager Brian Snitker wasn’t happy with the call and was tossed from the game.

You hate to see a guy go down with an injury like that, but rules are rules. If you don’t pull the bat back then you offered at the pitch and it goes down as a strike.
