Boston Sports Radio Show Hung Up on Hurricanes Reporter Because of His Southern Accent

Hurricanes reporter Chip Alexander from The Raliegh News & Observer went on WBZ-FM’s “Toucher and Rich” on Friday.  His appearance on the Boston sports radio show was cut short by host Fred Toettcher.

The reason Toettcher cut the call short was because of Alexander’s southern accent, “He had a southern accent.  I can’t take it.  Hockey and southern accents.”

What a dick move by Toettcher.  You don’t invite a guy on and then hang up on him for absolutely no reason.  You can’t make fun of accents when you’re from Boston and that area has one of the worst accents in the world.

If the Hurricanes go on to beat the Bruins in the series.  It will be 100% this idiot’s fault.
