DeMarcus Cousins signed a one year $5.3 million dollar deal with the Warriors on Monday night. Apparently the NBA wasn’t a big enough joke the way it was.
Golden State, who is coming off of back to back championships, is taking their superteam to video game general manager type heights, via ESPN:
All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, recovering from a torn left Achilles, has agreed to a one-year, $5.3 million deal with the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors, league sources told ESPN.
Joining the Warriors, who already have a staggering lineup of All-NBA talent, should allow Cousins enough time to comfortably recover from his injury prior to returning to the court next season.
LeBron is going to need a ton more help in Los Angeles if he wants any shot at adding to his trophy case.
What’s even more shocking than Boogie joining the Warriors is th lack of interest from other teams around the league. Sure, he’s coming off an Achilles injury, but he also was averaging over 25 points a game when he went down, via Yahoo Sports:
Teams kicking around a run at DeMarcus Cousins–and there are not many right now–are asking one question: What are we paying for in Year 1? Long term, could Cousins rebound? Maybe. In the '18-19 season? Some strong skepticism.

2018-19 is going to be another joke of a season. We’ll all get fooled by an interesting playoffs that leads to a Finals where the Warriors murder whatever subpar team the East trots out.
