Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen started Friday night’s game against the Tigers off 0-for-3 with a strikeout and mustache. Before his fourth at-bat he decided the mustache was bad luck and had to go.
Jansen shaved the mustache off between innings and immediately was rewarded with a single that plated two runs. Toronto won the game easily 12-1.
The mid-game shave was prompted by an 0-for streak that was two games long prior to Friday night’s game.
