Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has been benched in favor of backup Cody Kessler. According to Ian Rapoport, this isn’t part of his development, the NFL insider says that he won’t be back in Jacksonville next season.
Getting rid of Bortles will be just one of several moves the Jaguars will need to make to get back under the salary cap. They will likely look to the draft and free agency to fill their need at quarterback, as Cody Kessler has proven to not be the answer.

Bortles will probably find a job as a backup somewhere, but his days as a QB1 might be over.
What a difference a year makes. From AFC Championship game to on his way out in a blink of an eye.
