Bruins left winger Brad Marchand has a reputation for being a dirty player. His latest controversy took place when he appeared to clothesline Blackhawks forward Anthony Duclair.
The clothesline caused Duclair to fall awkwardly with his right leg underneath him. He had to be helped off the ice as he was unable to put any pressure on the leg.
Any other player might be given the benefit of the doubt. But not one of the NHL’s dirtiest players.
Marchand appeared to avoid the collision then decide at the last second to reach his arms out to clothesline Duclair.
Despite his history, early reports are Marchand will not be disciplined for the questionable hit.
