On Thursday Patriots receiver Josh Gordon went from a key part of their offense to being suspended by the NFL indefinitely. On Friday morning head coach Bill Belichick opened up his press conference by addressing Gordon’s situation.
Belichick called the situation unfortunate and revealed that he spoke with Josh on Thursday morning and personally wished him the very best.

It’s unfortunate indeed. Gordon is a highly skilled football player who has already missed two full seasons in his prime due to substance abuse problems.
Gordon proved he still can play at a high level when he joined the Patriots. He had 40 catches for 720 yards and three touchdowns in just 11 games.
