Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was asked about the reports that Le’Veon Bell plans to report to the team during their Week 7 bye week. He is open to the holdout running back’s return, if he’s ready to go when he reports.
According to Big Ben, everything that has gone on up to this point is in the past and everyone has moved on, via Trib Live:
Ben Roethlisberger thinks the Pittsburgh Steelers gladly will accept Le’Veon Bell if he rejoins the team during its bye in two weeks – on one condition.
“If he can come back and help us and be ready to go, then we’ll be ready to welcome him back,” Roethlisberger said Tuesday on his 93.7 FM radio segment. “There were a lot of things said earlier this year, but that’s in the past. We’ve moved on, and he’s moving on in a sense to getting back and being with us.”
At 1-2-1, the Steelers need all of the help they can get. If they get the NFL’s best running back that should help, assuming everything is truly in the past and his offensive line is willing to block for him.
