The Bears announced on Friday afternoon that they released tight end Trey Burton. The move comes after an injury filled season that saw him record on 14 catches for 84 yards.
Burton was just two years into a four-year, $32 million deal he signed prior to the 2018 season. Prior to cutting the 28-year-old, the Bears had 10 tight ends on the roster.
One of those is the recently signed Jimmy Graham, who inked a two-year, $16 million deal last month.
