The Bears announced on Wednesday that they plan to unveil two new statues outside of Soldier Field prior to the season opener. The statues will be of legends Walter Payton and George Halas, they will be 12 feet tall and weigh 3,000 lbs.
The statues are the first team related ones to be put up at Soldier Field. These are the most fitting Bears legends to be immortalized outside of the stadium.
