The Cleveland Browns came up just a few points short of sending the Baltimore Ravens home for the off-season. Instead the 26-24 loss ended the Pittsburgh Steelers season.
Rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield came up short on the scoreboard, but not in the record books. He came into Sunday’s game needing three touchdown passes to break the rookie touchdown record of 26 held by Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson.
Mayfield threw fro 376 yards and three touchdowns to set the rookie record for touchdown passes at 27.

Mayfield’s record setting season came in just 14 games. He was named the starter after taking over for Tyrod Taylor, who went down with an injury in the third game of the season. He threw a touchdown pass in all of his 13 starts.
There are big things coming to Cleveland.
