Former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield went to great lengths to recreate Brett Favre’s draft day photo from 27 years ago for his documentary series, “Behind Baker.”  The 23 year old quarterback will likely be picking up the phone earlier than Favre did.

In the photo, Favre was on his bed talking to the Atlanta Falcons, who had just drafted him in the second round.  Mayfield will be selected in the first round, as high as within the first five picks.

Mayfield recreated the iconic Favre photo all the way down to the jorts and quoted the gunslinger in his post.

This is a great idea by Mayfield and his team.  He would shoot up my draftboard if I were a GM.  If that’s what the picture was intended to do, aside from being wildly entertaining, it worked on me.

This kind of stunt has future hall of fame written all over it.
