The weeks of rumors about the Arizona Cardinals taking Kyler Murray with the number one overall pick turned out to be true.  The selection made history.

It was the second straight year an Oklahoma quarterback was drafted with the first overall pick.  Murray’s teammate, Baker Mayfield, was drafted with the first pick by the Cleveland Browns last year.

Mayfield took to Twitter to congratulate his former teammate and tell him he’ll see him in December when the Browns travel to Arizona to play the Cardinals.

If Murray delivers in the NFL the way Mayfield has, we might start referring to Oklahoma as Quarterback U.  Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, I hate cute little nicknames for schools.
