Houston Astros pitching prospect Francis Martes, who is already sidelined after undergoing Tommy John surgery, has been suspended for 80-games without pay for testing positive for PEDs.
Martes tested positive for clomiphene, a female infertility drug, often used as a masking agent for PED use.

The 23-year-old isn’t the first player to use PEDs to recover from an injury and he probably won’t be the last.
There aren’t many things worse than missing significant time with an injury. Getting busted for PEDs while recovering from the injury has to be up there.
