Oakland A’s pitcher Sean Manaea had the game of his life on Saturday. The 26 year old lefthander threw the first no hitter of the 2018 season.
The no hitter was Manaea’s first career complete game. He struckout 10 while allowing only two walks.
It was the first no hitter by an A’s pitcher since Dallas Braden’s 2010 perfect game. It was also the first time the Red Sox were no hit since 1993.
The Red Sox are off to an unbelievable 17-3 start, the A’s on the other hand are off to their usual below .500 start. This just proves that on any day, any team can beat the other.

"Yep, that's me. You may be wondering how I got myself into this situation."

Before Sean Manaea against Boston, the last pitcher to throw a no-hitter against the team that led @MLB in runs per game was @Athletics RHP Dave Stewart (6/29/90). pic.twitter.com/M3ftmJAoxG
