Oakland Athletics fans aren’t happy about the team potentially moving to Las Vegas and showed up in droves to take part in a reverse boycott at Oakland Coliseum on Tuesday.

Thousands of fans pooled outside the stadium to protest the planned relocation to Las Vegas, chanting for ownership to sell the team to someone who’ll keep it in Oakland.

The support carried inside, where “sell the team” chants echoed throughout Tuesday’s game between the A’s and Tampa Bay Rays, which Oakland won 2-1 for its seventh straight win.

The reverse boycott comes on the same day the Nevada State Senate voted in favor of the A’s proposal to acquire around $380 million to help build a stadium in Las Vegas.

The proposal must now be approved by the state assembly and Gov. Joe Lombardo before the A’s can officially apply for relocation with Major League Baseball.
