The questions surrounding Oklahoma quarterback and A’s draft pick Kyler Murray’s future started to really heat up after he won the Heisman Trophy.
Would Murray quit football and report to Spring Training as he planned before the football season started? Would he remain at Oklahoma for another year and play both baseball and football?
The answer appears to be, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, that Murray is going to enter the NFL Draft and the A’s are expecting him to do so on Sunday.
Entering the NFL Draft doesn’t necessarily mean Murray’s baseball career is over, although he reportedly prefers football.
I don’t know who is advising this kid, but baseball has much more player friendly contracts. Not to mention much less head injuries.
