Steelers star Antonio Brown issued an apology for threatening tweets he sent to ESPN senior writer Jesse Washington last week.
Antonio Brown speaks loudest through his Instagram. There’s a lot he’s not telling you. My latest for @TheUndefeated: https://t.co/ELteNnZi3b

Brown called the tweets a mistake in judgement and said he needed to be better spiritually and professionally.
Via Post-Gazette:
“I made a mistake in judgment with my tweet last week, and I apologize for that,” the statement says. “It is not OK to threaten anyone and I need to be better spiritually and professionally. Though I do not agree with the negative parts of the story about my personal life, I need to have better control over my actions to use social media as a way to engage with my fans, rather than use it improperly.”
You have to wonder if this apology came out of the kindness of Brown’s heart or if the Steelers made him do it. The fact that it took so long makes me think it was Pittsburgh who put him up to it.
