Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo spoke at the vigil for the victims of the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Rizzo graduated from the high school back in 2007 and his longtime friend and agent had a relative killed in the shooting.
The 28 year old was understandably emotional during his speech. Rizzo left the Cubs spring training to spend time in his hometown as they recover from this tragic event.
Tough time for all involved. Hopefully Rizzo can help the people affected heal.
