On Friday Pelicans star Anthony Davis broke his silence on the trade request he made earlier the week. He said it’s time for him to move on from New Orleans so he can take advantage of his elite level of play.
Via ESPN:
“I gave the city, organization, fans everything I feel like I could,” the New Orleans Pelicans star said. “I don’t know how long I’m gonna play this game. People’s careers are short. And I feel like it’s my time to move on. …
“I feel like I’m in my prime right now, I’m playing at an elite level. And I want to make sure I take advantage of that.”
I wonder if his dinner LeBron helped him come to that realization? The NBA has lost complete control of their league if they allow Davis to force his way into Los Angeles.
