The Los Angeles Angels announced on Monday afternoon that 27-year-old pitcher Tyler Skaggs passed away earlier in the day in Texas.
There aren’t any details available at moment as to how he passed away. Tonight’s game against the Rangers has been postponed.
The team issued a statement announcing Skaggs’ death. In addition to the announcement of his passing they offered up their thoughts and prayers to his wife and family:
“It is with great sorrow that we report Tyler Skaggs passed away earlier today in Texas. Tyler has, and always will be, an important part of the Angels Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Carli and his entire family during this devastating time.”

You hate to hear about someone so young losing their life. Hopefully his family and friends are able to eventually move forward with their lives.
