Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf took a puck to the face during loss to the San Jose Sharks.  San Jose’s Justin Braun attempted to flip the puck past Getzlaf in the air, but ended up catching him in the face. 

The puck to the face earned Getzlaf a trip to the locker room.  But as you would expect from a hockey player, he returned to the game.

The career long Anaheim Duck missed time earlier in the season after suffering a facial fracture from a puck to the face.  The Ducks would lose the game and are now down 2-0 in the series.
