On the same night an Oklahoma student buried a half court shot for a year of free tuition, an Abilene Christian University student had his half court shot for $1,000 go terribly wrong.
The ACU student went with a one-handed throw instead of a traditional shot and ended up throwing the ball into the seats.
Not just any seats he almost threw the ball out of the arena into the upper section of seats.
