The main event at UFC on ESPN 7 between Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik had one of the most unbelievable and gruesome endings in UFC history. With just seconds left in the five round fight, Rozenstruik caught Overeem with a huge right hand to knock him down and split his lip wide open.
Overeem was four seconds away from claiming a victory by decision when he got caught by one of the biggest right hands to the mouth you will ever see. While the big man didn’t go completely to sleep, he was out as he fell and another shot to the mouth might have split his entire face.
Rozenstruik improved to 10-0 with the last second knockout victory that sent his opponent for many stitches. The round five knockout at the 4:56 mark was the latest knockout in the history of the UFC heavyweight division.
