Quarterback Alex Smith, who suffered a devastating broken leg last season, was spotted at day 3 of Redskins OTAs. He was even throwing around the football.
Obviously by drafting Dwayne Hoskins in the first-round of the draft, Washington doesn’t expect Smith to return to the field anytime soon.
Many believe the 35-year-old has played his final down in the NFL. The fact that he showed up to OTAs and is even able to throw the football could be an indication that Smith has other plans.

Smith certainly doesn’t have play another down if he doesn’t want to. He’s set financially, but if the desire to play is still there for him after this injury, then we wish him all the best in his efforts to return.
