On Friday night in Seattle Albert Pujols became the 32nd member of Major League Baseball’s 3,000 hit club. With the hit he became just the 4th member of the 3,000 hit and 600 homerun club, joining Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Alex Rodriguez.
The game was briefly delayed so Pujols could be congratulated by his teammates for reaching the 3,000 hit milestone. Because nobody is bigger than the game, except when they’re bigger than the game.
The 3,000 Hit Club just got bigger! Albert Pujols, you’re its newest member! #Pujols3000 pic.twitter.com/hatWVJblga

Pujols went 2 for 4 and ended the night ahead of Roberto Clemente with 3,001 hits. Who knew Phat Albert would be one of the best hitters of all-time?
There’s only one Albert Pujols. The field and the game wouldn’t be the same without you.
