Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. has been in contact with the family of the little girl he hit with a foul ball in Houston. The family has asked for complete privacy right now.
Almora still plans to meet with her and her family when they’re ready to do so.
Albert Almora said he’s been in touch with the family of the child who was hit by his foul ball in Houston, but gave no update on her condition. “Right now the family wants complete privacy and obviously we’re going to respect that.”

Almora, cont’d: “When they’re ready … I’ll do whatever I can to put a smile on that little girl’s face.”

The unfortunate incident has clearly had a huge impact on Almora. Hopefully he gets to have the meeting he is seeking and is able to put the whole incident behind him.
As for the girl, let’s hope she is able to make a full recovery from the injuries, if any, she suffered. And next time they attend a game, maybe sit out of the way of hot shot foul balls.
