Alabama tight end Irv Smith Jr. dropped the eyeballs emoji on Twitter to a picture of himself shaking Bill Belichick’s hand with the caption, “Gronk retired you say?”
Translation, he’s hoping the Patriots draft him to replace Rob Gronkowski, who announced his retirement on Sunday.

The Patriots are probably going to be looking for a replacement for Gronk, but the way they do things, it will be with a guy who isn’t on everyone’s radar.
People will be confused by the move and it will end up being a great move for the franchise. It’s just how the Patriots roll.
