Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks is currently on injured reserve and hasn’t played since Week 5 due to an elbow injury.
Hicks’ injury hasn’t prevented him from making weekly appearances on ESPN Radio’s “Waddle & Silvy Show.” But a joke about it on Tuesday’s show will keep him from returning.
After some Thanksgiving small talk, Hicks was a little critical of the show’s hosts for not continuing to support the Bears. That’s when one of the hosts, former Bears receiver Tom Waddle, made a joke about Hicks’ injury.
Hicks responded to the host’s joke by shutting down the interview and telling them he would not be back on before hanging up on them.
