Redskins running back Adrian Peterson reached 1,000 yards rushing for the 8th time in his career on Saturday night against the Titans. The 33-year-old had 119 yards on 26 carries.

AP’s 119 yards was good enough to also pass Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson on the all-time rushing list. He’s now in 8th place on that prestigious list and well within striking distance of a few ahead of him on the list.

Peterson has a complicated history to go along with his great numbers. But as we’ve learned with guys like Ray Lewis, it shouldn’t hurt his Hall of Fame chances.
